I am so sorry John has passed away. I and my daughter,Cheryl first met John and his wife when they were taking a walk around the neighborhood, prior to buying their home in Brighton. My daughter knows how to sign and we had a nice conversation. Over the years, John and us talked often. Either in the written word, or with Cheryl signing. John was a wonderful neighbor and mechanic. After Mrs. Oleszko passed myself and other neighbors looked out for him. Some of us visiting him often either in his yard, or in ours, as he strolled around the neighborhood. I know these past years have not been real kind to John with the loss of his eye sight. He has been missed, and will be in the thoughts of many of us, as time passes. I am so sorry for your loss. Not sure but could be distant cousins. My mother was Irene Oleszko and married Rudy Prokes (both deceased). She had cousins, I knew of a Stan who had brothers. Mom lived in Detroit growing up. Had 2 sisters and 1 brother. My grandpa was Anthony and he had 2 other brothers 1 detroit 1 in Toronto. Please respond if we are related. Sorry about your lose.
